Let’s be honest. As much as I love doing my hair and makeup and looking like my best self, I rarely have the time or the money to make that happen. I’m a sleep-until-the-last-minute kind of person and am usually finishing my makeup or letting my hair air dry in the car on the way to work.
Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite tools that make getting ready easier for the lazy girls out there like me. Note, I may receive a small commission from anything purchased through these links, but I would NEVER promote something personally that I haven’t actually tried and liked myself. So know that products in this post are things I use in my own home. Enjoy!
Fun fact. I SUCK at blowdrying my hair. Both my best friend and my soon to be sis-in-law are hairstylists and get a kick out of watching me try to handle a blowdryer and a round brush. I end up with a frizzy tangled mess. On the days where I do want to dry my hair (not using my car’s AC), I turn to this little gadget. It’s like a round brush and blowdryer all in one, is super easy to use, and adds shine and volume! It’s been life-changing, tbh.
Another fun fact: I’ve never had a cavity but I suffer from chronic gum problems. That means that I’ve dealt with gingivitis and periodontal issues for years now. This Oral-B electric toothbrush has been amazing in helping me keep my gums as healthy as possible in between my overdue dentist visits. It’s usually about $50, but is on sale right now for $39.94! Your gums and your dentist will thank you.
This alcohol-free toner is my go-to when I can’t get a hold of my usual skincare staples from a local spot I frequent, or am running low on money before payday and need a cheaper alternative. I love that it uses ingredients like rose, witch hazel, and aloe vera and leaves out the drying and irritating alcohol. I have major problem skin, and this stuff doesn’t irritate, dry out, or make my skin over-produce oil like lots of other products do.
Chloven 45 Pcs Hair Scrunchies Velvet Elastics Hair Bands Scrunchy Hair Tie Ropes Scrunchie for Women Girls Hair Accessories- Gift for Holiday Seasons and ChristmasBecause nothing dresses up a half-attempt at a messy bun quite like a scrunchy. 99% of the time, I leave my house without touching my hair and throwing it up into a pony or bun while walking into work. I always have one of these around my wrist, ready to make my haphazard do look a little more intentional. They’re cute, soft, and easy on the hair. Plus, I’m a 90’s baby, so the fact these have made a comeback makes my heart SO happy.
I hate, with a deep burning passion, spending money on brushes and sponges. Que Real Techniques. I actually prefer their sponge over the Beauty Blender, and their brushes are absolute fire. I don’t find that they shed or leave hairs behind, they work beautifully, and they don’t make your bank account cry. The blush brush and that one on the right in the picture (I can’t think of what it’s called and the name is rubbed off of the handle from using it so much oops) are my 2 favorites. I can easily do my entire face with just this set (foundation, powder, bronzer, eyes) and they’ve lasted me over a year. $14.98 for 5 tools that last forever? Yes, please.
That’s all I’ve got for today! Stay tuned for some of my favorite travel items I’ve used over the past year. As always, thanks for being here 🙂
